Inquiry Directors co-ordinate all the CC's work for particular investigations, involving professional and support staff across the CC and working with the Chair and members of the inquiry group.
Biography
Caroline Wallace joined the CC in 2005. She spent the previous five years at Oftel and then Ofcom, where she was a Director of Competition Policy. She is a chartered engineer and, prior to joining Oftel, had worked in the telecoms, water and manufacturing industries. Since joining the CC she has worked on inquiries in (amongst other things) transport, food, the financial sector and construction. She was the Inquiry Director on the Anglo-Lafarge joint venture inquiry and is currently Inquiry Director on the Aggregates, Cement and Ready-mix Concrete Market Investigation.
