Biography

Miguel de la Mano joined the CC in October 2011 on secondment from his position of Deputy Chief Competition Economist at the European Commission, where he has worked since 2001. At the EU Commission he has been closely involved in the drafting of policy guidelines both in the area of mergers and antirust. Over the past decade he has worked on many high profile cases during both administrative and court proceedings. Miguel completed graduate studies in economics at the Institute for World Economics in Kiel, Germany, and the European Institute at Saarbrucken University, Germany. He conducted his PhD research at Oxford University, UK.
