Biography

Janet Paraskeva was appointed to the Council of the CC in December 2012. She was formerly Chair of the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission and First Civil Service Commissioner. Other previous roles include Chief Executive of the Law Society and non-executive member of the Consumer Council for Water and the Serious Organised Crime Agency. She was Chair of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre. Currently she chairs the Olympic Lottery Distributor and the development organization Plan UK. She is also a member of the Detainee Inquiry into complicity in torture post 9/11.
