Remedies Standing Group
The Remedies Standing Group (RSG) oversees implementation of any remedial action required by the CC following an inquiry.
The RSG carries out a number of functions on behalf of the CC in relation to remedies. These include:
- Evaluating remedies outcomes
- Developing remedies policy
- Overseeing implementation of structural remedies
- Reviewing undertakings or orders for release or variation
The latter two functions are undertaken by the RSG in the absence of a specific group appointed to manage the case. Operational responsibility for the RSG lies with the Chief Financial and Business Adviser and Head of Remedies and a nominated Director of Remedies.
Evaluating remedies outcomes
The CC is committed to a rolling programme of research into past remedies, with the aim of ensuring that learning points are captured and fed into the development of remedies policy and practice.
