Members interests:

Ms Guy and her husband have shareholdings in Vodafone of a combined value in excess of £50,000. All these investments are managed on a discretionary basis and neither Ms Guy nor her husband has any influence over the management of them. Ms Guy does not believe that the matters disclosed above in relation to her will affect her ability to act impartially and independently as the Chair of the group.

The CC is satisfied that Ms Guy’s shareholdings will not affect her ability to act independently or impartially in discharging the CC’s functions in this inquiry.

Mr Elks’ wife receives a pension from the BBC. She was employed by the BBC from 1978 to 1989, and completed some freelance work for the BBC before 1995. She has shares in Cable and Wireless valued at less than £5,000.

Mr Elks does not believe that the matters disclosed above in relation to him will affect his ability to act impartially and independently as a member of the group. The CC is satisfied that neither Mr Elks’ wife’s shareholdings nor her pension will affect his ability to act independently or impartially in discharging the CC’s functions in this inquiry.
