Competition Commission welcomes appointment of CMA Chair

The Competition Commission (CC) has welcomed the appointment of Lord Currie as Chair Designate to the new Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).


The appointment was announced by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills today.

Roger Witcomb, CC Chairman, said:

‘I welcome Lord Currie’s appointment to this role. His experience and qualities will make him an excellent choice for this vital position and I look forward to working closely with him on plans for the new Authority.’
