Working at the CC
The majority of our work is carried out in multi-disciplinary teams and our staff often contribute to two or more cases at any one time, giving you a variety of challenging work opportunities. We offer numerous staff benefits including:
-
Competitive, market-based, salaries
-
Membership of the Civil Service pension scheme
-
Flexible working
-
Generous annual leave entitlement plus privilege days
-
Maternity and paternity leave above the statutory minimum
-
Interest-free season ticket/bicycle loans
-
Learning and development opportunities
We encourage employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance; the standard full-time week is 36 hours (excluding breaks), and we have schemes for reclaiming some additional hours worked and well-developed remote access to the CC IT network.
The CC promotes flexible working where it can be accommodated without jeopardizing operational effectiveness. Over 10 per cent of the workforce is on some sort of formal flexible working pattern, with a great number of other staff making informal arrangements on an ad hoc basis.
Equality and diversity
The CC is committed to a policy of equality and diversity and welcomes applications from suitably qualified people irrespective of religion, gender, disability, race, age, marital status, or sexual orientation. All applications for employment, promotion and other career opportunities are considered strictly on merit.
