Evaluation and analysis

The analysis carried out as part of CC inquiries is presented in inquiry reports. The CC seeks to evaluate its effectiveness in a number of ways, including:

  • The quantification of the additional costs that consumers in the UK might be expected to incur were it not for the CC's decisions.
  • The assessment of the impact of past inquiries.

The CC also maintains a set of occasional papers that include academic material relevant to its work, and matters of practical interest to antitrust practitioners.
